PROJECT OVERVIEW
House of Cakes is a locally owned bakery specializing in custom cakes and baked goods. They wanted a brand identity that felt warm, inviting, and memorable—something that reflected the joy and creativity of their products while standing out in a competitive local market.
BRANDING CHALLENGE
Before I stepped in, House of Cakes did not have a fully developed brand identity. While their cakes spoke for themselves, they lacked the visual consistency needed to carry their story across touchpoints. They needed a cohesive identity system—logo, color palette, typography, and packaging—that would not only reflect their personality but also help them present as a polished, professional business ready to grow.
CREATIVE SOLUTION
I created a complete brand system starting with a custom logo that communicates their playful yet elegant personality. A carefully selected color palette and typography system established consistency across digital and print materials. To bring the brand to life, I designed a repeating brand pattern that could be used across marketing collateral and packaging. Finally, I developed mockups of their cake box packaging, showing how the brand identity could seamlessly extend to the customer experience. Together, these elements gave House of Cakes a professional, cohesive brand they could proudly use to connect with their community.
