San Antonio FC (SAFC) and the San Antonio Spurs came together for a special collaboration jersey, designed to celebrate both teams and their shared city pride. The goal was to create a piece that could be worn by players from both sports as they celebrated together at Toyota Field, truly “under one Texas sky.”

DESIGN CHALLENGE
The challenge was to design a jersey that balanced two strong brands while feeling authentic to both fan bases. The Spurs have a legacy of creativity tied to their iconic retro color palette—blue, orange, and pink—while SAFC carries a bold, modern identity with its crest and colors rooted in San Antonio soccer culture. The jersey needed to merge those elements seamlessly: subtle nods to Spurs heritage, clear representation of SAFC, and an overall design that felt fresh, creative, and uniquely San Antonio.

CREATIVE SOLUTION
I began with a series of concept sketches exploring shapes, patterns, and layouts that could honor both teams. Drawing inspiration from the Spurs’ classic fiesta colors, I integrated blue, orange, and pink as a vibrant base for the design, creating an energetic, festive look. To ground the jersey in soccer identity, the SAFC crest was placed proudly on the left chest. The final design strikes a balance between bold creativity and subtle homage.
